The K.D.C.S. is a Committee run self help group.
We are registered with the Charity Commission of England and affiliated to the National Deaf Children's Society.

We are open to all people who share the aims and objectives of the Society, regardless of Race, Sex, Religion, Colour, and Disabillity.

We have an active social scene offering subsidised trips to Shows, Pantomimes, Picnics and Barbecues.

The Society is self funded, through Donations, Subscription, Grants and Legacies.

We work with Statutory and Charitable Bodies, to provide better services and support for Deaf Children and their Famillies across the County.

We are also a point of reference for Parents to offer advice advice and help. Relating to deafness and it's impact on families.

K.D.C.S. provide in partnership with Connexions and Medway Deaf Services, a Youth Worker for young Deaf people in Kent and Medway from the age of 13 to 25.

Our Vision-

To bring the Deaf and Hearing Community together and promote Deaf Awareness, so that inclusion becomes the norm.

To provide the best and most effective support possible for Deaf Children and their Famillies. Helping the Children to achieve their full potential, and beceome the best that they can be, contributing to the Community in which they live.

To provide an active social frame work for children to socialise with their piers and develope competent Social Skills.

Programmes and Activities-

We hold regular Committee meetings the last Tuesday of the Calendar month.

Saturday 20th December 2003 Pantomime. At the Assembly Halls, Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Next years Calender to be set at November Meeting.
